WIQD Annual Symposia

We In Quantum Development (WIQD) is a Dutch organisation with a mission to build an inclusive quantum ecosystem. In 2025 I hosted their flagship Annual Symposium, moderating a programme of panels, workshops and networking activities. I was also involved in the 2024 and 2023 editions as a workshop organiser and facilitator.

Designing spaces for connection

I sourced and worked with a range of professionals, including artists, DEI experts and career coaches, to design and facilitate engaging workshops for symposium attendees.

Collaborating and co-ordinating

I collaborated with a diverse team of scientists, communications specialists and project managers to secure sponsorship, plan event logistics, and co-ordinate promotion efforts.

Setting the stage for impact

I led a number of panel discussions, audience Q&As, workshops and networking activities, guiding speakers and attendees through challenging topics with openness and sensitivity.

Highlights

During the 2025 edition, I hosted a full-day programme, including a panel discussion on inclusive working practices.

I designed and facilitated engaging, hands-on networking activities, using creativity and play as a means of lowering barriers to connection.

I organised a number of creative and educational workshops, including an art therapy class for symposium attendees.

I worked with a mixed team of volunteers and non-profit staff to co-ordinate event logistics and planning.
